Shrimp Express - Calumet City

This local gem serves consistently delicious food. I'm a big fan of the shrimp and catfish!

I was on my way to Indiana when I spotted Shrimp Xpress and decided to give it a try. The fried shrimp came in a paper bag with a tray, and they were fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious! They were accompanied by a tangy sauce, and I also ordered a drink. The shrimp had a great texture—not overly fried—and the batter was just right. What you see in the photos is a pound of mouthwatering shrimp. The drive-thru setup feels a bit outdated, and you'll be ready to pull out quickly after receiving your order. The staff was friendly and my order was prepared in a reasonable time. However, I rated it 3 stars because it took them a while to acknowledge me at the speaker when I arrived. My rating for the atmosphere reflects my thoughts on the drive-thru layout.

I experienced a long wait time, and there were no seats available for seniors. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing.

It was good had the large dinner in Pound of shrimp,! ??

The shrimp are big and they taste great. It won't break your wallet either
