Iron Cactus Mexican - Calhoun

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. On Saturday, January 29th, 2022, I placed a to-go order. I ordered the cactus special with shrimp, and my mother also ordered the same dish.

I can't get enough of this place. the best salsa of all time, and my fave is the combo Fajitas.

Fantastic. the salsa and chips are great. I ordered the Mexican hornbread. it was good, but I personally would like to have more maisbrot and less burned ingredients. my children enjoyed all their meals.

The atmosphere was nice and they had friendly service. The fried stuffed avocados tasted good but the stuffing was lacking. The server did explain this fact in all honesty. The chips and salsa were really good. The guacamole was ok. The pulled pork tacos should be served with a bun instead of tortillas. I love the rice and beans. I would go back and try more dishes to give a well rounded review.

Great food. good atmosphere. it was busy, but we didn't have to wait long.
