The Bro'Kin Yolk - Calgary

Went to the new Signal Hill location and it was pretty good. Called ahead and was put on the wait list and got a table at the promised time. The food was good and the service was excellent. The only drawback to the new location was the size of the table for 2 people. It was very small. I’m a larger individual and I pretty much JUST fit. Overall, not a bad first visit and I would come back again to try some more of their dishes.

This breakfast was ah-mazing!! You must try the truffle mushroom breakfast poutine! It was to die for. Very good quality eggs, extremely friendly fast service. Killer job!

Finally go to visit this place after moving to this area.The hashbrowns are not greasy at all like other places. The service was quick and friendly. I could do without the truffle though but the waffle for the benedict was a nice change from English muffins.

I just had the best BELT I've ever had, at this restaurant this morning ... I mean, it was perfect ... the right amount of bacon, a nicely fried egg, tomato, lettuce, on a perfect bun ... I was so impressed, I told the youngish waitress to complement the chef, something I RARELY do ... the best BELT I've had prior to this, was at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food cafe at Terminal 5, at Heathrow in London... it's not cheap, of course, everything is $15 and up, and, the accompanying salad was of the tree hugger sort that college chefs enjoy serving these days, but let's not quibble ... this was a superb dish, and I will go back and try some of their specialties ...

It was my first time trying the bro'kin yolk. I ordered the short rib hash. Food was okay, but service was amazing. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive despite how busy the place was. Probably wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast but wouldn't mind trying it again
