Bidra med feedbackWonderful experience! I am rating it 4.5 stars instead of 5.0 because I didn't love my margaritas (yes, I ordered two). The guacamole was fantastic and although it is not prepared table side (they prep it in the kitchen but finish it in front of you), you couldn't ask for it to be fresher. We also tried the crab cake tacos served in a delightful sweet jalapeno sauce. I would definitely go back and order two more of those. My main course was the chicken enchilada in tomatillo sauce and the portions were huge, I couldn't finish it all. Our server kindly shared with me that the chef loves preparing that dish because the sauce is the same as the one he learned to make with his father. I love hearing stories like that. I saw their nachos being served to another table and I must say I would go back just for those. The service was excellent, it was quiet (Monday night) but it seemed like the other tables were also having a great time. I will definitely return. Additionally, I must mention that the prices are very reasonable. We had drinks, a few appetizers, and our main courses and only spent around $55 each, including GST and tip.
I visited this restaurant with some friends and we all agreed that the food was incredibly delicious.
I really enjoy this place overall. The ceviche is amazing, similar to what I've had in Mexico and much better than anywhere in Calgary. The guacamole is also fantastic! However, the other menu items I've tried weren't as good, except for the churros for dessert. I recommend sticking to drinks, appetizers, and dessert here. The patio is also awesome during the summer months.
Finally a Mexican restaurant in Calgary that's so tasty and reasonably priced too, just like Mexican food should be! I had the chicken tacos with avocados and feta cheese and they were delicious! The waitstaff were also very pleasant!
The shrimp tacos are the reason to go here! They are ridiculously good. The rest of the menu looks great as well! I had the beef enchiladas with red sauce which were also super delicious, and unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants the rice and beans were flavorful. The guacamole is very close to the authentic ones in Mexico where it's made right in front of you.
