Ironwood Stage & Grill (2006) Ltd

Went to a Calgary JazzYYC show and ate dinner before the show. The food was surprisingly good! The next time I visit Ironwood I will again combine dinner with the show.

Great spot! Enjoyed the Saturday matinee for some bluegrass! I want to leave a review about the bartender Shay! He was just fantastic! Recommended the calamari, I did not expect much but it was delicious! Super friendly service and he recommended our next stop for the afternoon at a local brewery around the corner. It was also fantastic and we never would have known about it bad he not taken the time to chat with us! He’s a keeper!

Had a fantastic evening at the Ironwood.Food was spot on, wait staff was very busy yet attentive. Live music was what brought us through the doors, the atmosphere and acoustics were excellent.Bankes Brothers opened for Jesse Roper and they all crushed it!At first glance $50-60/ person is not exactly cheap, but that's all in- cover charge/food/ drinks and tip, for an epic night out!Will definitely be back!!*if you haven't yet heard of Jesse Roper, i'll forgive you....But seriously, what are you waiting for?? And we went early to have dinner before the music started, and let me tell you, this is one of the few places I have been out to eat in Calgary, where I don’t feel the menu prices have been increased to the point of near ridiculousness. I had the braised beef short ribs, and they were so yummy. Our server boggled our minds with how great his memory was and his attentiveness. We were a table of eight and did not want for anything despite this place being sold out for the band. Highly recommend as a solid fun night out.

I had the Mushroom Risotto. It was Mouthwatering-ly to-die-for! Seasoned to perfection. I was not expecting that level of dining at a bar. Highly recommended ?
