Ebar - Calgary

My wife, another couple, and I recently dined at this restaurant. I had never been before, but had heard good things. It is a classy restaurant located in a pricey area. The prices at the restaurant were also quite high. I had originally planned to order the Halibut and chips, but ended up going with the Steak selection priced at $22.50. The sides and salads that came with the meal were delicious, the steak was a good size and cooked perfectly to my liking. However, even though it tasted great, it was tough and difficult to chew. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my meal. The service was good and the waiter was very helpful. I will have to carefully consider whether or not I would return to this restaurant.

The sweet iced tea is amazing and the Zilantro chicken tacos are a must-try! Our server Peggy was fantastic. I highly recommend this place! We also tried the chicken noodle soup and it was the best I've ever had. You must visit this restaurant! And if you do, ask for Peggy as your server, she's wonderful.

I have been to this restaurant many times before, but after today's experience, I am unsure if I will return. The service was incredibly poor, especially considering there were more staff members than customers when we arrived at 2 pm. Despite the majority of tables being empty, many of them had not been cleared. My party of two had to wait 15 minutes for a table to be cleared and then waited almost 20 minutes for someone to finally acknowledge us. It took an additional 5 minutes to get water. We both ordered the French Onion soup, which was served hot but was quite mediocre. The overall appearance of the restaurant was shabby and not up to the standards I would expect from a restaurant associated with Nordstrom. I left feeling very disappointed.

Heard this spot was good so tried it for lunch , had crab bisque and fish and chips. Both were excellent.

We love the bisque and caesar salad here and went for our monthly dose. While at check-in a take-out deal that both contain. We were wondering about the take-out deal, but after dinner. Sonny and the kitchen were so courteous and... we had another great meal of Bazilles!!!! I love this restaurant.
