Boka nu

Bidra med feedbackThis charming restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a variety of delicious food choices. I ordered the pork and cheese dish, which was incredibly tasty and the cheese melted in your mouth. The pork bone soup was also a favorite, and was enough to satisfy four people.
My friends and I went to this restaurant last weekend for a delicious dinner. Two of us tackled a huge bowl of noodle soup, which paired perfectly with soju. This is the perfect spot for cold days and if you're looking for a stronger drink after work. The atmosphere is not upscale, but it's great for a fun and lively night out with friends. This has become one of my favorite late-night spots for Korean food and drinks.
Korean for ‘pay day’ (or at least according to my Korean coworker), Don Day is a tiny hole in the wall on 9th street and 7th ave, in downtown Calgary. Literally a hole in a wall. The restaurant is TINY, furniture is made from empty storage containers, and most of the signs in the store are in Korean so foreigners are **** out of luck (the waitress understand numbers and furious pointing).<br/ <br/ <br/ But…<br/ <br/ Something I look out for when going to ethnic restaurants is the clientele. As a rule of thumb, if a Chinese restaurant is filled with Chinese people, they probably have more authentic Chinese food.<br/ <br/ In our case, my companion and I were the only non-Koreans in the restaurant.<br/ <br/ Lets see if my hypothesis holds true.
The new cup lunch sign brought me into this tiny place. Tried the spicy chicken cup lunch which comprised chicken in a red spicy chilli sauce, shredded nori, yam noodles, lettuce layer and rice at bottom of a 16 oz (500 ml) paper. The spicy chicken had a good kick. Mixed together, they made delicious, light lunch. Great alternative to the corner hot dog stand.Order was served within 5 mins and I was done in 15. Food was probably pre-made and served to order.Would come back for other items
Great prices for great food! The portions are massive (as you can tell from the picture, that isn't a small packet of noodles but merely a huge pot! for a reasonable price and we didn't have to wait too long to be served. The staff are also very friendly and answered any questions we had about recommendations and serving size. Glad I found another place that is actually open past 5 PM on the weekend in Downtown Calgary!
