Tj's Cafe - Calderdale

While passing through the area, we decided to try this establishment since our usual spot was closed. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and efficiency of the place. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food and coffee were delicious. We highly recommend this place.

I had lunch here yesterday. The temperature inside was very cold, with no heating, so we had to keep our coats on. I ordered a tuna sandwich with chips and a Mexican chicken bagel. The tuna sandwich was overloaded with mayo, which was dripping out of the sandwich. The chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The Mexican chicken bagel had a toasted bagel but the filling was cold. There was too much mayo, causing it to spill out of the bagel. They also forgot to provide cutlery, making it difficult to eat. I specifically asked for the tuna to be on granary bread, but they gave it on whole meal instead. Overall, it was a poor experience and I would not recommend this restaurant.

I went to this restaurant to meet friends so our kids could play upstairs. We ordered some children's snack box meals and a steak baguette. Unfortunately, the food took 40 minutes to arrive because it was sent up through the lift and forgotten at the other end. The baguette was cold in some places so we sent it back. They returned it slightly warmer, but it was clear they had just microwaved the whole plate as it was too hot to touch. When we complained to the waitress downstairs (who first asked who had served us, even though it was her), she asked the manager to speak to us. The manager came over, made no apology, and just said that we didn't have to pay for the meal. We found the staff unwelcoming, rude, and lazy. We won't be returning.

I went in yesterday with my daughter and 2 year old grandson excellent food and brilliant service my grandson wasnt well and was sick on the floor the staff were amazing, cleaned up without a problem kept checking my grandson was ok and brought him some water. I would definitely recommend this place and would like to say a big THANKYOU to all the staff

Been to TJ's a few times now and it is definitely not as good as it used to be. The jacket potatoes are very nice but the token of a salad dressing is pointless. The staff all look miserable and not friendly at all, and so does the owner. Shame because it used to be very friendly and smiley staff too.
