The Moorings - Calderdale

Been before.a couple of year's ago.was great.could not fault it.his time 1 meal ok out of 5..i felt uneasey to complain.paid left.

Absolutely disgusting food, steak was off and stank. Fish and chip portion was worst than a small child’s. The staff are rude and arrogant would avoid at all cost.

After taking a stroll along the canal, we decided to stop at Morrings. The service was incredible. The bartenders, a boy and a girl, were extremely helpful in offering us vegan and gluten-free options. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the prices were very fair. We definitely plan on returning.

After being on a long hike we stopped at this pub which seemed like a nice place inside and out the beer was decent, but I ordered a special as a starter. Creamy garlic mushrooms, although the sauce was nice and hot, were raw and had not been cooked. and also ordered pie mash and the mash was cold. although the rest of the meal was ok.

Very disappointed. We traveled quite far after seeing the moorings on happy valley and thought it was a nice spot near the canal. When we arrived the first thing we saw was the dog area which is right in front of the entrance wher a dog had just been sick and another had knocked a bowl of water over. After finding a table we ordered our food, we ordered fish and chips but was told ther was no fish so ordered steak and ale pie to be told 5 minutes later when sat down there was no pies, ended up getting sausage mash and peas in a Yorkshire pudding the sausage were burned on the outside and half raw in the middle like they'd been rushed on high heat, the Yorkshire pudding had no taste and was swimming in peas and the mash was hard and stodgy with some kind of pickled fried onions on the top not nice at all. The rest of the food was not much better 2 Chicken Yorkshire pudding wraps that were about 3 out of 10, a chicken wrap which my daughter said tasted hard and like it had been microwaved this was all after waiting more than 45 minutes. We will definitely not be returning and recommend a change a chef. Again very disappointed.
