There is a very western mood in this caffe, and I would certainly not have expected that here is a place like this. eating is decent, and the coffee is also good. because everything is gluten-free, textur can be a problem, but not disturb us. the pancakes and the ravioli were delicious. the cave here is the price, but I guess for a slightly elevated place as this is justified
At Sea Salt Bakery you'll definitely get better quality than what is served around town, but there is still room for improvement. The salads are fresh, the burger's alright, the sweet potato wedges are delicious, most desserts are very good if you dont mind the slightly different texture of gluten-free flours. I felt more comfortable eating there when it was a strictly vegetarian restaurant but I trust the chefs for keeping the kitchen organised and safe for vegans!
This place is often mentioned as a place for vegan eating, but it still has a long way to go. we had zucchini noodles and falafel. the zucchini noodles were very bland. missing stamp, very boring. a vegan parmigiano would be great or at least a lemon. /i would have been happy to pay an extra for the vegan Parmigiano cheese. but there was nothing, no sea salt, pfeffer, oil on the tables. looks as if the load owner more attention to the furniture and the lighter then to what the customers need. the falafel was okay, but pretty tight. not the fluffy bite that tamiyaas has around the corner. the menu was not clear either. does not realize what was vegan and what was not. so easy to set a symbol.
Menu is fully available in English, but whether your server speaks more than the absolute minimum to order food depends on who gets it. are they warned that some things they expect to be vegan have eier hidden in them as the baguettes. between this and the limited English of my server I did not want to order a few things that I wanted (like that) because I was not confident that if I asked if they were vegan, I would get an exact answer. I will probably be back and will try again. After I said that, I ordered the vegan French toast and it was delicious. the gluten-free brot worked well and was quite close to regular brot, and the taste was good. the whole was poured into thin slices of birne and apple, cocose, zimt, banana and nuts, all fresh and tasty. highly recommended. my non vegan but gluten-free friend got the combo breakfast with an omelette, kartoffel, toast and a tee. I stole her a potato crust that was good, and she said she was really happy with her meal. in any case it is worth checking for gluten intolerance or keliac folks.
