Porter Creek Hardwood Grill

I had high hopes for dinner at this venue based on a lunch I had enjoyed once before. Unfortunately, dinner service was very poor. Our server was absent for long periods, late taking drink orders, neglected to see that bread was delivered to our table like everyone around us was offered, failed to quality check an undercooked steak I had returned because it was still undercooked and neglected to check on and offer drink refills until we caught him and requested. The bar was slow 15 minutes from order before receiving our drinks. Manager did come to the table to confirm and apologize for the twice undercooked steak which was credited to our bill. All in all, a less than satisfying experience.

4 adults went to celebrate and anniversary, father's day and a birthday! Excellent food in a pleasant moderate noise atmosphere could converse comfortably and appreciated the lack of sports TV noise. Despite the fact that they were out of halibut, all meals were the best...would easily order those same items again. Kudos to the chef(s). But the best was the service. Our waiter was Larry and we very much enjoyed his attendance and service top notch! Hope the establishment appreciates him! Will certainly return again.

Our Server and Server Trainee did a wonderful job. They were both very personable. I was celebrating a retirement with a friend. Both Servers joined in the festive mood. The food was wonderful! The atmosphere was too. We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather. All around a great experience.

We had a wonderful time at Porter Creek. We eat here 10-12 times a year. This is our go-to restaurant in the Burnsville area. The food is consistent and the overall experience is always wonderful. We met a friend there for dinner and all of us enjoyed our meal. We order the halibut and the salmon along with the chicken and peach salad. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Nothing is over the top but really good and really consistent. We also had the banana dessert that was pretty amazing. If you are in the area, give Porter Creek a try!

Great place! Delicious food and every worker we encountered was polite and friendly. Our server (forget the name Alex I think? was awesome and she helped accommodate our child’s food allergy.Highly recommend!
