So to be honest me and my wife were sooo excited to get to this place and that went down hill very quick. Side bar our server Sloan read awesome now on to the main topic as a local guide we go to many different places and this by far is a place where you order and expect to get one thing and receive something totally different. We order a seafood platter and a shrimp and fish platter along with gator bites. Now when we received our gator bites it was differently on the salty side. And once our main dish came that was the it I had three pieces of fish three small oysters two or three hush puppies and three shrimp. Very dissatisfied with my portions for the amount of money it cost. I get inflation but this was enough for me not to visit this place again. I respect all business owners trying to make a living however we could’ve taken to $65.65 we spent here and went to mayflower and had a full experience. But again we would have left if it wasn’t for Sloan. To pricey for the amount of food.
Red beans and rice didn't miss this girl! I have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile and finally got it done today, so glad I did and definitely will be going back. I love the fact that they give out a sampling of their Gumbo and Cajun classics so you are never disappointed with what you order. I ended up with the Jambalaya, Red Beans and Rice and Chicken and Sausage. All three were very tasty and filling. It was free appetizer day, so I also got an order of Boudin Balls, which I found delicious as well. Service was impeccable. Dominique and the chef were attentive and worked really well together, food was served fast for everyone in the restaurant. I'm really excited to go back and try the Voodoo Pasta, Po Boys and Shrimp and Grits. For extra fun, read Griff's Story on the website!
Stopped again for lunch while passing through to Durham. Got the shrimp Po Boy and a cup of chicken gumbo. Both were just awesome. The Po Boy was loaded with medium sized shrimp and the chicken gumbo was delicious. Can't wait until my next trip.
Why did y'all close??????! The food was really good and it doesn't make sense why it would close.
