I was served not one but two absolutely hideous chicken burgers today. Three people in my group had the chicken burgers. The first one looked fine, fairly thick with decent batter. Mine was so over cooked that the chicken batter looked like crackling pork with tiny bubbles all over it. A sign of the oil being too hot. I tried it and all I could taste was burnt. The underside of the bun was completely blackened. I returned it politely and was told “the bun is charred” to which I said “that’s just full on, it’s all you can taste and is over cooked”. She returned minutes later with a second meal. The bun was cold this time, almost as if they were defrosted and they’d made an effort to not char the bun but the chicken was still cooked in the old oil, and was wafer thin. I actually couldn’t cut the chicken burger all the way through it was so tough. I tried a mouthful and left it. I didn’t even eat the chips as I was so repulsed by this point. We usually love the beers but the food experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Literally.
Please update your hours to reflect closing earlier at 10:30pm, rather than 11pm, so as to avoid kicking people (multiple tables) out at 10:30pm when they still have drinks, then blasting rap music to party with your friends whom you let stay
