Portillo's Hot Dogs - Buena Park

Whenever I am in the area, I always make sure to stop by Portillo's. My usual go-to items are the Italian beef sandwich, chili cheese dog, cheese fries, and strawberry shake.

The food at this restaurant is fresh and delicious! I attended an event here and the service was excellent. I also came yesterday to pick up an online order. They had just opened.

I have been visiting this restaurant for several years. Recently, my daughter took her godchildren to Knott's for Christmas, so my wife and I picked them up for a brief visit.

Portillos is a unique hot dog and sandwich place that definitely deserves its 5-star rating. Their hot dogs are large, made with all beef and fresh spices, and don't have the typical light green relish. The rolls they use are perfect as well. They offer a wide menu selection including the always excellent Italian beef, made with Chicago-style bread. The portions are generous, making it great for sharing or feeding a large group. In addition to hot dogs and sandwiches, they also offer salads, pastas, and other options. Their strawberry shakes are thick and delicious, and they even have a chocolate cake shake made with a piece of their decadent chocolate cake blended in. Even if you're not a big chocolate fan, it's still worth trying. Whenever I'm passing through OC, I always make sure to stop by Portillos.
