Textúra - Budapest

Fantastic place! We found it by accident, just walking around the Budapest city center, and were so happy about our experience. We started with shared appetizer, chicken patè and were so happy with it! Pate was in fruity jelly, surrounded with crunchy crumble simply deliciois. Although during appetizers we didn't get where the brioche plugged in, it was little unnecessary in my opinion, simple sourdough bread would have been plenty enough. For main, we ordered chicken breast with macadamia nut pure with truffle, and it was devine. Chicken breast was tender and juicy, pure nicely balanced in flavor and not overpowering. What blow our mind though was desert. We got recommended to get Cardinal deset, which actually were two versions of the same deset traditional version and Texturas play on that with modern twist. We were asked to judge them and tell them which one we liked better the modern came out of it as clear winner for us, with more balanced flavor, play on sweet and sour combo with fresh apricot pure and bit of white chocolate for sweetness. It was very nice experience overall, servis was amazing. We missed a little of atmospheres by sitting outsider, but on hot summer night we needed some fresh air. Overall amazing experience!

I had high expectations of this restaurant based on all the positive reviews, but it truly lived up to my expectations. Every dish was cooked to perfection with attention to all the details. Great experience, delicious food, very friendly staff, strong concept: Textúra.

Very fancy place with well executed dishes. We had the 5 dish tasting menu, which was not very well put together, stay clear of that one aswell as the juice pairing. Way to sweet and too little variation (with the dishes as well) Fine dining and technical excellence but needs a bit more soul and composition. The atomsphere was on the noisier side, but the restaurant is beautiful.
