Bidra med feedbackThe food is excellent, and the mixed drinks are delightfully sweet. As a Texan visiting from out of state, I find it a bit unusual to pay for chips and salsa, but overall, this is a fantastic spot for Mexican cuisine on the West Coast.
My favorite dish at Cucos used to be the seafood, but not anymore. It was overcooked and lacked flavor. However, the woman enjoyed her thin avocado. Additionally, $6.50 for a bottle of beer is quite steep.
I ordered three tamales, but what arrived was a plate of overcooked ground meat covered in sauce. It was the most unappetizing dish I've ever encountered. When I asked the waitress about it, she seemed just as puzzled. The manager explained that this is their style of serving tamales. I won’t be coming back here.
The only thing that was great at this restaurant was the young new waiter. When entering the restaurant, there were numerous employees at the front counter together with a manager, not a single person welcomed us. I finally said, how? How?s everyone? just to get no answer as if we wanted a stand or table. Then my food came hard boiled together with a shrimp that was cut into 3 pieces that supposed to be the added shrimps when the picture clearly had several large whole shrimps on the plate. All in all, it was a very strange experience that was welcomed by no one as a new waiter. Can't I say I'm going back?
A five star from me is a hard one. Way to go Amazing service great food even tho there was a hiccup with a plate. Olvia not sure if I spelled her name properly but she was absolutely the best server I have had in a very long time. It was late and really close to closing and we were still seated and served with the up most care and performance. Thank you for making our diner an amazing one.
