Coast Bistro - Brunswick

This was our first venture to the restaurant. It was a recommendation from someone we work with. We went for dinner, but I am sure that lunch would be good as well. The menu is small, but there were several very delicious-sounding appetizers that we considered. We ordered two that were really good. We both enjoyed our entree choice as well. We would definitely go back.

Good food, lots of waiting. The place was completely overwhelmed and it was only half full. Servers were in experienced and did not know how to keep up. Good music playing but the noise from the bar made it hard to hear. I had the mussels, which were tasty, the mushroom flat bread was more bread than mushrooms. My wife had the lobster pasta and whole the lobster was good, the pasta had sat too long under the heat lamp and was glued together. We are new to the area and will certainly explore other venues. Very disappointing, but I should have listened to other reviewers who had the same experience.

Being in Maine I thought the crab cakes would be good as their website implied using local ingredients. The crab cakes were mostly bread crumbs and tasted like the ones you find frozen in the supermarket awful. I had the lobster pasta for an entree and the sauce was good but the lobster meat rather tough. Given the quality of the food I skipped on dessert.

Best tid-bits menu. Lobster rangoons and Deviled Eggs! They make great cocktails...definitely try the jalapeno margarita! Best steak I have ever tried, which my husband enjoyed thoroughly. We went for a friend's after-wedding-party and the bartender's were amazing as well. very attentive and served awesome homemade seasoned popcorn.

We were celebrating out 25th wedding anniversary...I had requested champagne on ice. and when we arrived, it was ready. We were pleased with the big comfy chairs in a private location. (wish you did NOT have tv screens tho...guess it's a sign of the times??! ....we were VERY surprised in receiving a complimentary serving of chocolate dipped strawberries real whipped cream to go with our champagne. Our waitress was outstanding, friendly...sincere..We LOVE the Daniel and this restaurant....I dont' understand why more people don't frequent this wonderful restaurant...it's the NICEST in the Bath/Brunswick/Topsham area hands down!
