El Barrio Burritos - Brooklyn

Absolutely love this place! The breakfast burritos are so good. The chips guac amazing. Super friendly staff

The ingredients were decent. Distribution of ingredients in the burrito was uneven (half of it was only meat and rice). Stingy with the guacamole and sour cream in the mission style burrito. Didn't taste any refried beans in there. The cheese wasn't even melted, so the pre-prepped warm ingredients were probably not consistently kept warm enough to allow for the shredded cheese to melt. Seasoning tasted more like Southern California vs Mission Bay style. Guacamole was fresh, but had no cilantro, lemon or lime juice (they used salt instead or lemon or lime). Chips were extra greasy. Mango salsa was tasty, but they clearly combined fresh mango with older mango, so the mango texture was a bit inconsistent. Decent enough food, but overpriced for the quality and taste.

This specific burrito used to be something I really looked forward to having. Was so excited since for a while they wldnt deliver to my more recent address and i was elated to see i could finally get it again. What I liked about it previously was the quality of the meat in addition to the style of burrito. (The beans and all were still good in fairness... But this time was just Not the same. It most certainly didn't taste like flank nor skirt steak which is what carne asada is supposed to be. Don't know what it was but It ruined the burrito and made it completely not worth it to order. Bummed.

Mission bay burrito was good but...incredibly greasy. Like dripping through the foil and two layers of paper bags greasy. I had to dry it with paper towels. After doing so, I enjoyed the nice soft tortilla, tender carnitas, and a healthy amount of guac. Side of rice was bland. I'll probably order again.

They package the chips beneath the wet ingredients in the nachos. It was soggy city. Thank goodness they didn't do the same for the pico and chips and separated them. I'm sure it's delicious when eaten in-house but I don't recommend delivery.
