The Brooklin Inn

I'm writing this about the pub. Around back and down the stairs. Great atmosphere, great staff, Shannon the bartender and primary server in the pub is aces! Every one of the wait staff was attentive and professional. We had the long cove oysters, delicious. The roast duck breast, lamb shoulder, and patatas bravas. Everything was great. The local beer selection is good. And the wine list is reasonably extensive for the size of the place. I'm almost reluctant to post this as I still want to be able to get in, but hey, they deserve the accolade.

Outstanding dinner and cocktails, beautiful garden setting if the weather's good. It was a splurge meal but worth it.

Best burger in town. Wash it down with a nicely made Negroni. Can't go wrong. (Sit in the garden and you'll feel like a local)

The best meal I had in Maine The food quality is excellent and that's what I really look for in a good restaurant. It was so pleasant to sit out side the multitude of servers were friendly and attentive. We had such a nice time here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Canceled two nights in a row on our parties. The first night was understandable, it was pouring rain. Though they did not let us know it was canceled until I called them to confirm. And this was for a birthday party that they then would not accommodate inside. Made months in advance. Second night it was absolutely not raining, and yet they still canceled. Also, they waited until 4:30pm to cancel on a 7:30pm reservation— this time the dinner was a welcome dinner for the guests of our wedding. No suitable advance notice, no offer to move inside, leaving us high and dry for guests who have traveled from all over the world in an area with very very few restaurants. Very bad customer service. No pleasantries, and no effort to accommodate. I wouldn’t recommend, no matter how delicious and chic the place is!
