Mr. B's A Bartolotta Steakhouse Brookfield

Great service by Zack, just wish we would have “waved me off” on my choice of “TAVERN STEAK” for my entre'. It was listed under their “specialties “and it was extremely disappointing. It was listed as a 10 ounce prime ribeye steak sautéed with mushrooms and onions and a bourbon, pepper cream sauce. The problem was the meat was simply terrible. Yes it were just me and my wife eating dinner. I would've immediately brought this to the attention of the server and sent it back for something else, but because we had picked the restaurant and we had two out of town guests I did not want to make a big deal. Honestly it ruined my dinner in the evening.. One out of town guest did have the steak sandwich and seemed to have enjoyed it. The other out-of-town guest had the ribeye steak which he stated was good. My wife had the ribeye steak and was not overly impressed. Probably the highlight of the meal was the rigatoni pasta, which I ordered as a starter for the entire table, and everyone truly enjoyed the pasta dish as well as a started of oven roasted bacon. Clearly, the two appetizers were the highlight of the evening. For being advertised as a steakhouse, especially from the Bartolotta group, the steaks were just flat out disappointing, especially no one should ever order the tavern steak.

Matt and Mary our servers made our night, they were friendly, professional and informative. Thrilled to sit on the patio close to the fireplace and as usual the food was superlative. Getting a chance to talk to Anna in regards to Commodores was also a plus! Can't wait till we get to visit Commodores, but our 40th Anniversary will be at Mr B's in August!

Staff was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Given the wrong menu twice and had to change my order twice because of it. Had to ask for water refills. Sat outside but was placed by an open back gate/door that was never closed. All small things but never encountered these annoyances before at a Bartolotta location. My steak was a cooked a bit more than my medium rare request. Food and service still above average and will try Bartolotta's again hopefully seeing that our last visit was just an “off” night.

All in all it was a good meal not the best but good nonetheless. We just feel that over the past few years the ambience of this restaurant has slipped plus service isn't quite as “special”. Perhaps it was an off night but disappointing and we expected more.

We were there for a double date and it was our first time at the restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was great. We were very pleased with our experience and will return.
