Bidra med feedbackOne of the few restaurants in the west village with real character and ambiance. The food is exceptional (Chef Doug Brixton’s skill and dedication are evident in every dish), as are the drinks. The townhouse vibe is elegant and fun; it’s a truly unique experience.
A great new restaurant that took over Spotted Pig’s location. 5 stars for the food, even though I would prefer a bit more casual. 2 stars for the slowest kitchen in NYC. I have been twice, and it takes 45 mins to get your first dish! No bread or anything was offered. 5 stars for friendly service that tries hard; however, this place is not well-oiled. The servers are running around trying to figure things out still. 5 stars for great design and vibes. The second floor is the dining room. The first floor is a more casual bar.
The best place to be in west village for sure , elevated and the drinks are unique food is phenomenal
My wife and I stopped in for a few quick drinks prior to dinner in the area on a Friday evening. We arrived at opening and were the only ones at the bar for nearly the whole time we were there. We enjoyed each of our drink selections, trying the Golden Swan Martini, Lefty Louie, Iceman, and Saturn. The martini and Manhattan variations were interesting, and we found all of the drinks to be well balanced. The downstairs space is comfortable, yet still retains a clubby feel. The bartender was friendly and helpful in making recommendations. We will be back another time for dinner in the upstairs dining room.
Celebrating my birthday with close friends, I had the privilege of savoring the most exquisite steak tartare and scallop crudo. The steak tartare was a masterpiece, perfectly seasoned and textured, with a wonderful blend of flavors that danced on the palate. The scallop crudo was a delicate delight, fresh and tender, accompanied by a medley of complementary ingredients that elevated the dish to new heights. The presentation was an art form, showcasing the chef's dedication to aesthetics. Paired with fine wine and surrounded by cherished friends, this dining experience was an unforgettable celebration of flavors and companionship. Kudos to Chef Dan our server Jamie! Your combined efforts turned a simple meal into a cherished memory.
