Bidra med feedbackNonna Dora’s is the real deal. The pasta is all homemade and the ingredients are fresh. Every pasta dish we had was delicate in that nothing felt heavy (not too much butter, not too much cheese). Absolutely spectacular. Service was also fantastic. It’s a small space, most of the seating is high top tables and a long bar. Will absolutely be coming back
The chewy black strands of Nonna Dora’s spaghetti neri keep their squiggles and kinks after they’re dressed with bottarga butter and toasted bread crumbs. Translucently thin pappardelle are tangled up with wild boar ragù in a broth that has just enough tomato to give it the color of a terra-cotta planter. Cannelloni, in delicate green sheets, don’t quite contain the filling that spills out onto the plate — ricotta whipped with burrata to a creaminess that suggests fior di latte gelato if you could somehow heat it without melting it.
Nice Italian spot with homemade pastas. They also have negronis in glasses with big ice cubes that were good (albeit pre-mixed). Their meatballs were unique in that they were fried crispy on the outside but super juicy.
I wanted to love this restaurant and commuted out of my way to the neighborhood to go here. Unfortunately, the food was so salty it was inedible. I went with two other people and all three of our dishes were inedible. It tasted like some one dumped a cup of salt in by mistake. We each had a few bites and then could not eat anymore. Our server came over to ask if everything was okay. We told him about our concern and he kindly offered to have it remade. Unfortunately, we had lost our appetite at that point. The server very fairly took a glass of wine and one pasta off our bill. While we really appreciated that, it still meant I paid $175’ish for a meal that we couldn’t eat. Would not recommend under any circumstances. We all developed canker sores within an hour of the meal because of how much salt was in it.
Food was good. Service was good. Drinks here are good.
