Bidra med feedbackAuthentic and delicious noodles paired with lamb soup make this one of the best Henan restaurants in NYC. Straightforward and affordable, it’s definitely worth a visit!
This is an excellent restaurant for authentic Henan Chinese cuisine. The food is tasty, and the prices are reasonable considering the generous portion sizes. While inflation has made some impact, the quality remains strong. There are plenty of seats available, and although the service can vary, it's generally friendly.
Tucked away in the lower level of the building, this small restaurant has limited seating. The owners were incredibly friendly. I ordered the hand-pulled beef noodle soup, which reminded me of what I used to enjoy in central China. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions. I would definitely come back here multiple times.
The cumin lamb burger was absolutely fantastic! I would definitely return just for that. However, I also tried the lamb noodle soup, and it was just okay. There wasn't much lamb in the soup, and the broth was rather bland. But the cumin burger, on the other hand, was incredibly delicious!
And let's not overlook the noodles! They have turned noodle-making into an art form at this restaurant. Named Hénán Huì Mìan (河南烩面), meaning Henan Braised Noodles, their noodles have a unique texture that I've never encountered before—soft, elastic, and almost pillow-like. Any noodle maker could learn a lot from this restaurant about how to create exceptional noodles.
