EDIT: After Colonie changed chefs they became one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The sticky date cake alone is worth the trip, the pastas are all fantastic. Eclectic choice of food. Nice restaurant with good service. Enjoyed our dinner here.

I don't think I've eaten at the same restaurant more times than any other establishment, except perhaps a lifetime aggregate of McDonald's. Highlights: mushroom pate, chocolate budino, and a staff that excel at talking about the food and drinks they make and serve.

This is by far my favorite restaurant anywhere! The dishes are always inventive, fresh, and above all delicious. I especially love the small plates. Highlights are the crudo, mushroom pate, and the sticky date dessert. What makes the experience even better is the staff. I highly recommend sitting at the chef’s table. Amendment, 20 months later: What's below still applies; the level of pretense here is MIND BOGGLING. No we don't do egg whites. No, you cannot get our pastries to go. BUT: my goodness is the brunch food superb. It's… fine. Well, no, not exactly. The food is good but not great. The service was pleasant once we had our waitress. It's noisy, pretentious, and… thankfully, about 20% less expensive than we expected. So yeah, it's fine.
