Unfortunately, my experience makes me believe that Wetherspoons doesn't care about customer feedback. They only care about money. Any feedback they receive seems to be dismissed as they promise to "make things better" without actually doing so. It seems that no one at Wetherspoons is a proper chef - just people pushing buttons on microwaves. As someone with experience as an ex-Army Head Chef and former Catering Manager, I know how food should be served and cooked for the public. I will be copying this letter and sending it to the Head Office and local media. The managers at Wetherspoons need proper training, or else the public will continue to be dissatisfied with their excuses.

Typical of a Wetherspoons, this restaurant offers decent food, okay drinks, and plenty of local history on the walls. The layout is such that it feels like a marathon just to reach the toilets.

I ordered the Pasta Alfredo with chicken at this restaurant, and it was a complete disappointment. The pasta looked like plastic, was congealed, and lacked any flavor or seasoning. The Duty Manager even admitted that it was microwaved and told me there was nothing he could do about it. It's unacceptable – they need to either improve the quality of their food or get rid of the chef. The overall experience was extremely disappointing, with unenthusiastic staff and poor customer service.

I currently have a disability and walk with the aid of a crutch. When I asked for some assistance with the coffee the barman said no, you have to do it yourself . The food when it came was satisfactory. I would have preferred brown toast to white toast, but that wasn 't an option.

I have had a drink here a number of times when waiting for a train. My recent visit was to meet up with a group of former work colleagues. We had a pleasant afternoon enjoying a few drinks. The service was good and the place pretty clean and tidy. Previous experience indicates the pub does get very noisy and crowded on Friday evenings at office closing time.
