Bidra med feedbackThe customer service at this restaurant was terrible. They advertised a menu item they didn't have and then suddenly cancelled our order without much notice. They called twice within a minute while I was in the bathroom, and then got upset when I didn't answer immediately upon calling back. They lied about the number of times they called and how long they waited for a response, not realizing that phone records would show the truth.
Fantastic selection of burgers, great range and perfection in the cooking and presentation. I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon, absolutely yummy.
Got a takeaway from The Burger Joint, North Street, Bedminster and it was some of the worst food I have had. Split sauce, soggy bun salad and burnt inedible peri chicken. Was looking forward to getting a burger from there as although it's been quite a long time since I went there last, before the food has been good. Unfortunately, this time it was only fit for the bin....a complete waste of £15!!!
I normally go to the burger joint as it used to be the only place in Bristol you could guarantee to have amazing food. Unfortunately recently it has gone downhill. The issues from my recent visits are numerous; ranging from total lack of refills on drinks, to completely incorrect food, to cold food, to argumentative management. My visit today though has completely taken the biscuit. I went in at 2 pm to find the place is nearly completely empty apart from a a few customers at the front and a nine-year-old child in the back. The Child was using a double table and had all sorts of things strewn across it including food, drink, stationary and a laptop. I assume that this is the child of one of the members of staff. The Child was watching something on the laptop which was extremely noisy and loud which was incredibly distracting because it was competing with the loud music in the restaurant. After five or 10 minutes hoping the noise would get quieter or after repeated glances in that direction they would take the hint and ask her to reduce the volume (or wear headphones) I asked if the volume on the laptop could be turned down as it was very noisy. The supervisor said that the child would turn it down, however it was only turned down very slightly and was still competing with the music already playing. After a few more minutes of being tormented by the barrage of noise I gave up and said that I was going to leave as there was too much noise. Sadly there was no further apology or attempt to rectify the issue and they simply said okay and allowed me to leave. This is really disappointing as to leave a restaurant having not eaten because of the noise created by the child of a member of staff is inappropriate and in my mind unacceptable. I would not allow my own child to behave in that manner in a restaurant and for the staff to allow a customer to leave because of the noise and do nothing about it is extremely frustrating. It is safe to say this will be the last time I will attempt a meal in The Burger Joint Bedminster are as they are no longer able to provide the quality of environment, attentiveness and food that they used to be so fantastic at. What are real shame and disappointment. The only consolation I have is that I didn’t waste any money in the process.
Having missed last year’s annual jaunt to the Tobacco Factory for their wonderful Christmas performance, we were after a pre theatre eaterie for a family of five that wouldn’t break the bank but would pass muster with a family used to really good home cooking (by Dad). We were not disappointed. The Burger Joint is a fab little spot and was exactly what we were looking for. Delicious food, with good provinance and cooked well. The service was excellent friendly, helpful and warmly relaxed yet efficient and professional. We left feeling very well fed and full of bonhomie ready to enjoy our evening at the theatre. Thank you very much! A simple concept done very well yum. We shall be back.
