Greene's Fresh Seafood - Bristol

My first time visiting with my sister and my son. We 're from Elizabethton and just in town shopping for the day. Looking for somewhere besides fast food to grab lunch. Not being familiar with the locale, we thought we would have to pass it by because it seemed that all of the parking spaces were taken. So, I placed a call to ask how long of a wait they might have. The gentleman who answered the phone, actually came outside and directed us to a spot to park. Rain and all. I 'venever had an employee do such a thing. We came in, were quickly seated and our drinks were on the way. It smelled soooo good in there! We asked if their tea was real, southern sweet tea? Our waitress replied yes, and boy was she right.Our order of fried green tomatoes was absolutely perfect! I don 't think they could have been any better at all. We ended up having to get a second order and decided that we could have all made a whole meal out of them. See, and for anybodywho 's not a southerner, this is one good way to tell if the food is authentically Southern. The tea 's got to be as sweet as a Georgia peach and the fried green tomatoes good enough to fill up on! ???? Our meals were great, sooo fresh,affordable and our waitress was wonderful too! Such a great experience that we will definitely be back. Heck, we would come back just for the fried green tomatoes alone! Thank you, Greene 's Seafood, for a delicious lunch. I wanted to love it, I've heard good things about this restaurant. My husband and I tried it for the first time Saturday. My food was greasy and soggy. The hush puppies were very dry and unedible. We might try dining in next time to see if the food is any better.

So I have tried this place a couple times just to give them another chance. We always get the crab leg dinner. Which isn't cheap. The price goes up every time we go back. But one time we got home and opened our food and the hush puppies are always burned and u hardly get any the crab legs was way over cooked some of them had no meat in them, I called and told them what happened and they had no compassion and didn't care one bit! Very rude. I mean maybe if you go in and eat thefood might be better since your sitting in there with them. But don't order out crab from them. It's not worth the price.

I was delighted when they told me that if I call them on Tuesday with a special request, they will check with their wholesaler and let me know on Wednesday. The first time I did this, they didn't call back. Ok, nobody is perfect. So, I called them the following Tuesday. Did not call me back again. I however, have a good memory and recalled that I had given this business a 5 star review a year or so ago. So I deleted it and replaced it with this one.

Easy on and off I81 Clean,.... Easy on and off I81 Clean, fresh seafood that was absolutely delicious! Went for lunch, reasonably priced! Fresh seafood to purchase a fish counter! Dry scallops, blue claw crabs and Grouper! Fish is delivered daily. Lobster bisque was creamy and delicious!! This is a keeper! Will make it a lunch or dinner enjoyable any day!
