Muscongus Bay Lobster - Bristol

Disappointing experience. The crab cake, priced at $15, was tiny, thin, and not worth the cost. The lobster roll was also underwhelming. The roll fell apart, the lobster was rather bland, and there was hardly anything besides the seafood on the bread. At $34, it felt extremely overpriced. Additionally, when you order a lobster without the full dinner, you have to pay extra for butter. On the bright side, the corn was excellent.

I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! This is my first time in Maine and my first experience at Muscongus. I can honestly say I've never had more delicious food in my life! The oysters, lobsters, and lobster rolls were incredible, and I can't forget about the crab cake sandwich. My friend had a crab cake that completely blew me away—it's the best I've ever had! The bread was incredibly soft and fresh. I can't even put into words how amazing that crab cake was. The food, along with the owners Andrea and Dan and the rest of the staff, is outstanding. They made me want to stay in Maine forever!

Despite the rainy evening, the staff and food were outstanding and left a lasting impression! The drive from Boothbay Harbor was lovely. Honestly, the scallops and oyster selections were the best I've had on this trip! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Bring your own bottle (BYOB) and enjoy the sides. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Just order the lobster and clams, and you'll have a great meal. It never lets you down. UPDATE: While it's no longer BYOB, the lobster, clams, and views remain outstanding, even with a smaller salmon selection.

Great place to eat lobster and enjoy the water.
