The Catbird Seat Bistro - Brisbane

Catbird Seat - it's an intriguing name (with a story), the restaurant is restfully and tastefully furnished, and the meals are an absolute adventure for the tastebuds. The menu is very select, and we chose entrees, mains and desserts. What a delight! Every mouthful was amazing and delicious, and respectful silences fell at our table with each course! Really fine dining, with our thanks and congratulations to the chefs. Our party has travelled widely and eaten at many fine restaurants, and the Catbird Seat is right at the top for a genuine and delicious evening with good friends and fine food.

Una delicia total la carne aquí, lo mejor es la manera de prepararla, con un estilo francés, casí cruda en el interior, un sabor delicioso. Además el fondo de salsa es perfecto.

The best restaurant meal i've had in five years! Catbird seat is located in a character building in East Brisbane. Only has a few tables -intimate atmosphere. Service very attentive. But food was the best part - very memorable

I can't recommend this gorgeous little place enough. You won't get lost in a crowd at Catbird Seat, and the food is very swish indeed...stylish plating, creative combining of flavours, and attention to detail. Since I'm a bit of a dessert fiend, I revelled in the strawberry cheesecake finale - a deconstructed generous serving of strawberry mousse with a little smoked goats cheese on the side....mmmm. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!

Me and my wife have been in this little cosy restaurant for lunch. Driven from the good reviews. We chosen the 2 courses option. One starter to share, the pig head terrine. She've had the mushroom homemade potato gnocchi with truffle for main and I've had the Grim beef rump on truffle cabbage and the duck fat potatoes as side. All matched with a good glass fo whine and a great service.Ours favorite plate? Everything, everything was delicious, right cooked and right presented. But I want spend one more word for the gnocchi, simply amazing, the best I ever had! Said by Italians who love good food!
