Bidra med feedbackMy partner and I had an amazing meal at this restaurant! We may have ordered too much because we had to take leftovers home in doggy bags. The prices were so reasonable that we couldn't resist trying a variety of dishes. It's a fantastic place and I would definitely recommend it.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, but as a Vietnamese person myself, I was hesitant due to the high prices for Vietnamese food. However, Red Lotus has shown that they are worth the slightly higher cost. All of the dishes were well-prepared and tasty. The Pepsi pork belly was a bit disappointing, but the other dishes were very enjoyable. Their lychee lemongrass cocktail is especially delicious. I also loved the beautiful red lanterns that provided lovely ambient lighting. Overall, it is a nice restaurant for the area.
The lamb dish at this restaurant is fantastic. You should also give the Pho Soup a try, it's pretty good. The restaurant tends to get very busy on weekends, so make sure to remember to book a table in advance to avoid waiting.
I have had Red Lotus bookmarked for soOo long but we have never managed to get ourselves a booking... until now!! Finally!!! I have not tried a lot of vegan asian food and I don't believe I've ever had Vietnamese before, so I was excited to try it!!There is a whole range of vegan options on the menu and I of course had to try the vegan pho I got the special one with tofu and soy meat . I also got stir fried greens with tofu. I can't believe how crazy the pho was. I thought I was eating meat don't know how to feel about that haha!! . The broth was super warm, salty and flavourful. My only issue was that the bowl was so big, I only managed to get through a quarter : Other than, it was amazing!! I also had the vegan spring rolls which were really good too. Overall, this is a great restaurant for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters and everyone will find something on the menu. It's also super good to get some warm pho in Winter!!!
The food was quite good. Particularly the prawns and the duck. The entrees not so much with the quail being a little dry and the Vietnamese fishcakes not much to my liking. The service was efficient without being particularly friendly. The ambience was ok but we were unfortunate to be situated at the last table next to the toilets which are not particularly well screened meaning we had to keep asking other patrons to close the door. I'd rate it 3 and half stars.
