Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant seems to scale back a lot lately, like a lot of interior decoration including the massive fish tank that used to be the heart of the place. It feels really empty today, not the calm stimulus it used to be. The lighting is also a kind of off putting, gives the place a yellow shaded glare. The food quality is still quite good, especially the roasted appetizers (especially the Calamari) and Pad Thai, but some (e.g. Curry) was bland. The service is slower than before, because there is only one person who acts as a host, waitress and bus. I think the restaurant should consider removing some tables and putting some dividers or the like in order to give the restaurant a cozy feeling again because it just feels imperfect.
The drunk noodles are it!!! For the first time I had mild drunk noodles where the spices were exactly right and the taste was on point. I also ordered Pad Thai, which was good. My husband got the beef with rice, and although it was good, the part was small. We have replaced the rice for Udon, and they gave us a page of Udon?. Nothing. We expected the Udon to be mixed with the beef, not only unavoidable uldon in the side lol. Otherwise it was great!
So delicious! I came here with my friend and the dishes we ordered were so flavorful! I loved the shumai as an appetizer, and had the spicy basil fried rice with pork as a main entrée. It was cooked just right the Thai iced tea we got was perfect on the hot summer day we visited. I especially liked the glass that the Thai iced tea was presented in, it was so cute and reminded me of the ones in Animal Crossing. ?
Exceptionally bad customer service. The waitress was acting like she is doing some favor to us. We have been waiting for such a long time, no one showed up. I had to literally go to her to ask her to come take our order. The restaurant wasn?t busy at all. No one was there except us. She was sitting and reading something on her phone. Anyway when she came she took the order and again disappeared for a long time again. At the time of bill payment she was the same way. We have been waiting and waiting then when finally came, started asking for tip. On which I said tip is optional only if we like the service. Then she started arguing and said next time if you don?t want to give tip then don?t dine in, just do take out. I responded back that?s not how it works, that?s not how it is in other restaurants. On this she clearly said it on my face that GO TO OTHER RESTAURANTS Next time. I am never going back to this Thai place again. As far as food is concerned, the quantity was small and it was too salty. The owner of the restaurant should really needs to take action and responsibility of this poor customer service and rude ill-mannered staff.
I like the relaxing atmosphere here as well as the very delicious food. I had Thai Massaman curry with extra rice for about $20. The staff are very timely, friendly, and polite. The restaurant is easily accessible via MBTA Washington sq Comm Ave. There is also a very huge aquarium inside the restaurant which is very beautiful and relaxing. So far, one of the best Massaman curry foods I had in Boston. It also has large tables for sitting with much larger groups.
