The Blue Poppy - Brentwood Bay

This is our second visit to this restaurant, and once again, we encountered no issues. Located within Butchart Gardens, it has a cafeteria-style setup, but the food definitely doesn’t taste like typical cafeteria fare. It's quite good! The gluten-free desserts are especially delightful. The menu is easy to navigate, with clear markings, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, the food is flavorful and fresh, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing.

This is the more laid-back, cafeteria-style restaurant located within the Butchart Gardens. You can only access this restaurant if you have purchased admission to the gardens. The menu features options marked as gluten-free, and all dishes are made to order. The staff is attentive and will inform the kitchen to treat gluten-free requests as allergies, and the server announces "gluten-free" when bringing your food to the table. The food was good—perhaps not as exceptional as the other restaurant in the gardens, but still enjoyable—and the service was quite fast.

We were truly impressed with the gluten-free options at this restaurant! The food was of excellent quality, comparable to fine dining. We ordered the steak frites, which was cooked to perfection at medium rare and seasoned just right. My daughter enjoyed the seafood pasta and can't stop talking about its delicious sauce. They even offered gluten-free desserts; we tried the trifle and the brownie, both of which were fantastic. If you're visiting Butchart Gardens, I highly recommend stopping by this place!

I ordered the Soup of the Day, which I was told is always gluten-free. Today, it was curry cauliflower, and it was absolutely delicious! I also had the Wildberry Trifle, and it was fantastic! Their gluten-free options are quite extensive, and I was genuinely impressed.

The menu is clearly labeled. The dishes are served cafeteria-style, and everything is covered and packaged to prevent cross-contamination. They even had a strawberry cake available that wasn't listed on the menu! There are many great choices to make.
