Mrs. Fields - Brea

The service here is prompt and efficient. If you're in the mood for something sweet, this is definitely the spot to visit. I tried the white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie and the milk chocolate chip cookie with M&Ms. Personally, I enjoyed the chewy exterior and soft interior of the M&M cookie. In contrast, the white chocolate chip macadamia cookie had a very soft texture that crumbled easily. Both cookies were a bit sweeter than I typically prefer, particularly the one with M&Ms, which was packed with chocolate. Overall, it was a decent experience, especially if you have a fondness for sweet cookies.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Fields cookies from my childhood, but I stopped buying them when the prices became too high. A few years ago, I decided to give them another try, but the taste was terrible. The cookies just didn't seem fresh at all. I tried to convince myself that it must have been an off day for the baker, so I gave them another chance despite my reservations. Unfortunately, this location served cookies with hard lumps of brown sugar, which indicates poor ingredient storage. Additionally, the cookies were underbaked, resulting in a messy blend of raw ingredients that was simply unappetizing. It just wasn’t for me, especially not at these prices. If I wanted cookie dough, I'd rather just buy it from Pillsbury.

I absolutely adore Mrs. Fields cookies! The first time I visited, they had every nibbler flavor available, and I got to try them all. However, every time I go back now, the selection is always limited, so I often leave empty-handed. Don’t get me wrong—the cookies are delicious—but there are rarely any to choose from. Maybe that’s a hint that I should cut back on sugar, haha! I also find it kind of odd that they have an icee machine, considering it's just a small dessert stand, but I’m not complaining; I love icees!

I ordered a birthday cookie at the last minute, and they had it ready for me by the time I arrived to pick it up.

The people who run this restaurant are fantastic! They are always polite and welcoming, and the service is excellent.
