Bidra med feedbackI was there on Saturday before Mother's Day. I wanted to pull pork. That was my first visit. I first checked the external appearance of the establishment. The windows and doors were crushed. When I went to the guy in the register, his mask didn't cover his nose, so I had no problem asking him, especially as I work for the health department. He followed it. Then I placed my order. The aroma of the grill smells great, but then I looked at the workers in the back and all there cooking were improper mask. I kindly canceled my order and left without my grill. My son tells me that the place has gone since the Kovid and is not operated by the original owner.
That was my first visit to this facility. Waiting was not long and the service was decent. Price average? I think it is disappointing that they can run out of cabbage/green/yams before closing. attempts both the pork ribs (St. Louis-style) and cattle ribs, and both shined on their own advantages; I was very impressed by both. The green beans tasted fresh. Mac and cheese was just fine; I think it is missing something to better homogenize the cheese/peste ratio, and I think a better cheese should be used that doesn't get so tasteless in the end product. The BBQ really shone here and fulfilled my desire. I intend to come back here, but definitely at an earlier time of the day. I will mention that there was a good activity on a Saturday night. So I mean that people who are not obvious protection for any particular business are written down. A stranger approached my vehicle to waving money and might try to buy something, he looked out. I am not sure if this is the norm, as I remember that Brandywine is a quiet rural area?
This place is under new ownership/management and the food is very disappointing. Ribs have no smokey flavor but instead taste like they were cooked in the oven. The spicy sausage was not spicy but instead tasted like it came from the grocery store. I should have known it was under new management when I didn?t see the previous owner the last few visits. He was a very nice man and the food tasted like authentic Texas bbq. I?m sure if the previous owner knew they were selling this low quality food he?d be upset. Definitely won?t be back!
One star is being generous! This place must have new owners/chefs! We have not been for over a year and man was our recent experience beyond DISAPPOINTING! Our order consisted of beef brisket with potato salad and collard greens, ribs, fried chicken with yams and baked beans and a side of Mac n cheese! The potato salad was definitely store bought and the collards tasted and looked like they were from a can. The yams and baked beans were from a can too and had zero flavor! Beef brisket was good, fried chicken was bland, but fried well and the ribs were ok at best! The Mac n cheese was TERRIBLE and we literally threw away 90% of the meal. Oh, I forgot to mention the corn bread....looked gummy and undercooked so after our experience with the other food we didn?t even bother to try it! The portion sizes were horrible for the price, $40 wasted! Needless to say we will not be back and you should not go either! I am sure there are new people running the restaurant because our recent experience was not the same as the others.
You can smell the smokey flavor from the parking. Everything is great don't forget to sample the desserts like peach cobbler and make sure to try the gumbo
