Bidra med feedbackOverall, it was a pleasant experience. We ordered miso soup, sashimi, teriyaki beef, and karaage chicken. It’s great that you can bring your own wine, and there’s a bottle shop conveniently located right next door. We enjoyed sitting outside by the heater, which was a nice touch. The service was also quite good.
The Aburi Salmon Treat, which used to be one of their signature dishes, was underwhelming. The rice had a soapy taste, and overall, it just wasn’t enjoyable. To add to our disappointment, the pan-fried gyoza was soggy and unappetizing. It's really unfortunate to see how much this place has declined. I used to have no reservations about spending money here, as the food was consistently five-star quality and the service friendly. Unfortunately, both the food and service have noticeably worsened. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you don’t want to waste money on subpar food.
The sushi rolls were satisfying, but I personally found the sauce too tangy. I tried three different types, and they all came with the same sauce. Moreover, I was not happy with the $10 minimum for card payments. While the restaurant was clean and had a modern look, the service and the uninspiring sushi left much to be desired. I probably won't go back.
I ordered a large assorted sushi and sashimi platter to go, which featured cooked tuna maki, tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, and salmon nigiri. However, I couldn’t really consider this an assortment; it felt more like a box focused solely on tuna and salmon. The tuna sashimi had an overpowering fishy flavor, while the salmon was just mediocre. Additionally, I ordered extra Tamago (Japanese omelette) sushi, and I was worried when the cashier didn’t seem to know what Tamago was. Overall, it didn't feel authentic. My verdict: I won’t be coming back.
This is the best Japanese restaurant in the area! We dine here at least once a month and are always satisfied with our experience.
