Lan Zhou Noodles

We absolutely adore this restaurant! Contrary to what some other reviews say, our family has consistently had a wonderful experience here. The food is outstanding and fresh, and the noodles are exceptional. The kids particularly love the wonton noodle soup. We also appreciate the pipis in chili and the option to add pepper oil as a condiment. I highly recommend this restaurant, and it's very budget-friendly too!

I recently drove by the Sunnypark shopping center and found out that this restaurant has permanently closed. My first visit was prompted by rave reviews about their gyoza and famous beef pulled noodle soup. While my initial experience was satisfactory, my second visit showed a noticeable decline in quality. I observed that they were rather stingy with the ingredients in their noodle dishes. Instead of using fresh components, they simply sliced pre-made fish balls into thin pieces and let them float on top of the noodles, along with a few pieces of Chinese vegetables. I doubt the cost of my noodle soup was more than two dollars to make, yet it was priced at over ten. Although the concept of having a clear window to show how pulled noodles are made is impressive, the taste, portion sizes, and pricing were all mismatched. The service also left much to be desired. It's no wonder the restaurant couldn't make it in the Sunnybank area.
