Lord Sandwich - Bournemouth

This is the best Mexican chicken wrap sandwich I have ever had.

The restaurant is very average and overpriced for the quality of food you receive. Based on the reviews, I was hoping for a better experience.

Doing the lunchtime sandwich run, we collected two takeaway Mozzarella Pesto Wraps for office colleagues. We were dismayed at the poor quality of these wraps, they were so small and thin, when opened there were 4 slices of mozzarella and a glaze of pesto over the top, no salad or anything else. These wraps were £5.50 each, absolutely tasteless and definitely not worth the money. Felt cheated and conned. We will not be returning to Lord Sandwich.

The older man at this restaurant was incredibly rude. I asked for 2 Paninis, a request that I had made before during my previous visits. The first time I saw him, there were 2 Asian guys who were very nice, but this particular man just made up a price and charged me £11 for the 2 Paninis. When I commented on the price and mentioned that it was more expensive than before, he responded by asking if I had the money and told me to leave if I didn't. Despite this, I agreed to pay for the Paninis as I needed to get back to the office. I also mentioned that there was no need to be rude to customers, but he insisted that he was the boss and could charge whatever price he wanted. He then told me to leave and said he wouldn't serve me, instructing me to go elsewhere. I am shocked that a place with people like this is still in business.

Lord Sandwich is a very small shop but nestled inside that shop is one of the best BLT’s I’ve ever had. I’ve been here many times over the years (every time I’m in the town centre pretty much) and every single time I’ve been there the guy and lady have been a pleasure. I’ve seen a few comments remarking about these people negatively, but I can only assume these people are the problem. The two staff are always nice to me, every single time and the sandwiches in this place are some of the best in Bournemouth — if you’re around Bournemouth and fancy a sandwich, give this place a go, you won’t regret it!
