Ezell's Famous Chicken - Bothell

Pretty much just the best damn chicken ever. Period. At least IMHO...little spendy (for some fried chicken) but the extra couple bucks is worth it...no doubt

Very good chicken but pretty horrible service. From time to time I am willing to brave walking into their store in order to get some of that great chicken but they are slow, regularly make mistakes and are fairly unapologetic about it. One thing I have noticed is that this location isn't necessarily worse than any of the others. Their company is structured in a way that just leaves you feeling meh after giving them your money.

Like all Ezell's, the atmosphere is pleasant. The kernel corn is fantastic and the drum sticks are amazing. But the tenders were dry. But you can't win them all. Good group of workers all hustling to get the food ready for the standard group of at least 8 to 9 people waiting. Overall, great choice for a family dinner, if not a bit expensive.

I ordered the two piece special which included a side and roll. The roll was great. The man and cheese were pretty good. The pic on the wall showed a leg and thigh. I got a thigh and wing. My brother ordered the same meal and got a thigh and breast. We were both let down as we were expecting a leg and thigh. The crust was awesome. The meat was low on flavor. I guess the skin soaked up all the good taste or the flavor couldn't get past the crust. I'd still give them another try but it wasn't as good as I remembered it before the ownership split up.

Fried chicken=amazing, potatoes and gravy= also very good. But honestly don't get the fries even if your kids ask for them. That's all I have found here so far that they could honestly remove from the menu and I wouldn't even be a little mad. Maybe I'm persnickety when it comes to potatoes. No shade- just being honest.
