Bidra med feedbackLocated in the small town of Widdig between Cologne and Bonn, the Hotel Café Restaurant Rheinterrassen has been an old-worthy restaurant since 1645. With appropriate timely reservation you can sit directly on the water – either in the beer garden or in the protected restaurant. I was from the Siebengebirge over Bonn on the way home via Landstraße) and came through the town of Widdig. There was a return for lunch. The large parking lot was occupied only with few vehicles. There were therefore only a few tables in the interior and I could actually take a seat directly above the water. The two friendly service staff served the few food guests and expect the coffee shop for the afternoon. From the extensive menu I chose a wild dish, the wild goulash with mushrooms, late zle, cranberry berry and separately a bowl with apple compote; a quiet water and a glass of red wine from the Ahr Walporzheimer). I didn't have to wait long – even though the view of the passing ships distracts. The dish tasted excellent – it should be noted that for the normallesser a soup or appetizer would certainly be necessary for saturation. The final espresso was perfect.
