Blabjorg - Borgarfjoerdur Eystri

Great place! Very friendly staff and everything looks so new and clean. I have the room with a view of the sea... breathtaking! You have a small unusual sauna and the beds are so comfortable. There is a common kitchen well equipped. The breakfast buffet is delicious and with a great option for everyone. Very recommended and I hope I can go back if it is not cloudy.

The area is very beautiful and have beautiful surroundings! There seems to be a strong community in the city, and although it was from the turistic period and bad weather, there was a lot of life in the restaurant and in the bar. The staff was very friendly. They made a five-year Christmas dinner when we were there, which was incredible. We expanded our stay, and although they didn't want to stay close to the night, they left us there. They gave us a nice breakfast in the refrigerator, which was very thoughtful. Thank you.

Blabjorg is located in a remote isolated corner of Iceland; and in a country full of charm at every corner this seems definitely the brightest. From the outside, the Blabjorg Guesthouse connects to the small community in which it is embedded. Inside the modern, clean apartments were comfortable, spacious and perfect for relaxing at the end of a long day. Your outdoor spa is currently rebuilt as a windstorm destroys its previous, and looks as if it were amazing with two large hot baths overlooking the port, and a wellness facility where they have individual treatments available. We relax in their indoor whirlpool before we prepare for dinner. Chef Sola took care of us as if we were a family, and her care, personality and energy was obvious. Our dinner wouldn't have been better. I could list everything we ate, but honestly it was all fantastic. If I had to pick up a highlight, it would have been the French onion soup that was possibly the best I ever had (and came from someone with French Canadian roots, I had my just share of excellent French onion soup). Her beer was pretty good, her homemade Landi cocktails were fantastic, and her gin was pretty nice. The only thing I could recommend to improve would be to add some luggage carriers to the rooms, and possibly additional towels for the wellness area. Apart from these small improvements, the Blabjorg Guesthouse is absolutely on my list of places to stay when I return to Iceland, and then I will definitely stay for more than one night.

We arrived at this gueshouse after 4 days of traveling. It was absolutely amazing! The room was so spacious and modern. The staff was kind and the food was good. Also what a pleasant suprise it was that we could use a hottub. To finish the whole experience off we saw the nothern lights from our room. Amazing!

We had a spacious apartment for both of us.. beautiful water view... friendly and helpful hosts, great food... perfect place to sleep before/after catching the puffins. There are laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom/WC. I really love this place. There are small flies that are hard to keep from your room. no big problem because they look harmless. The pizza is great.
