The Beacon Butcher - Boone

Our second visit here and it was as amazing as the first. Fabulous cocktails dinner menu but the staff ambiance makes it so worth it. Can?t wait to come back.

I tried the duck confit, which was flavorful, moist, and perfectly cooked. It was accompanied by a pumpkin risotto that was quite good. Although I’m not usually a fan of risotto, I could appreciate the skill required to make it right, and this one was executed flawlessly. I will definitely return to try one of the grilled meat options. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Boone!

This is a lovely upscale restaurant in a town that always seems to discover hidden gems like this one. Located near a mini-golf course and within a multi-use office complex, Butcher Bar (as the locals refer to it) has a discreet and unassuming exterior, while the interior boasts a modern and natural feel. The menu features a curated selection of dishes for each course, yet there's always something that truly satisfies. The wine list includes a variety of options from both Old World and New World regions, along with a respectable cocktail menu. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. It's an excellent choice if you're in Boone.

We visited this restaurant for the first time this weekend and had a fantastic experience! A big shout-out to Erin for making my parents' wedding anniversary so special. Everything was exceptional. The cocktails were extraordinary, and the appetizers—burrata salad, cornbread, gnocchi, and beef carpaccio—were delightful. The beef stroganoff and lamb were incredible as well. I especially want to highlight the steaks we ordered: filet and ribeye. Each was cooked perfectly to order, and I appreciated that they were seasoned just right, allowing the meat's natural flavors to shine through. The Brussels sprouts were also delicious. We loved the ambiance, especially the fireplace. The service was top-notch. Any negative comments I've seen seem more about the individuals making them than the restaurant itself. Not enough vegetarian options? Remember, it's a butcher bar! (Plus, I counted eight vegetarian dishes!) Slow service? It's fine dining, not fast food. No steak sauce? I won't even address that... Overall, we had a wonderful meal, and I highly recommend the Beacon for anyone looking for a memorable evening in the Boone area!
