Jalapeno's And Grill- Broadway - Boise

Came in around 7:30 PM today and all the staff was super friendly literally each and everyone working there is super nice thank you to our server Trey who took care of us today! :

This restaurant relies a little too heavily on the signature white cheese sauce. (Which has gotten thinner and blander over time) and needs to concentrate on the basics of food prep, like draining the meat before making tacos with it, etc. The pricing is a bit steep as well... 2 a la carte tacos for $9, flautas for $19, and a chimichanga for $17 seems like a bit much.

Customer service was good, only thing was waiter asked the other people for more options other than chips and salsa. And he was also eavesdropping on other people's table.

If I could give less than 1 star I would.Was a guest of a dinner party of approx 12 guests w/reservations for an adult’s birthday dinner. Nothing crazy, we wanted margaritas and tacos our friends like this place because they think it is affordable. I’d say the prices wouldn’t be bad if you got what you paid for and weren’t overcharged by the waiter, who refused to print you a receipt, and when disputed with my bank and the card merchant TWICE this company has refused to cooperate with their normally simple and brief investigation into the charges that the waiter erroneously charged. I called and emailed myself prior to disputing officially, and I was met with crickets. I was overcharged $40 based on menu prices and tax. That also means that the tip I left was affected by the increased charges. From speaking with the other folks at our table, I was not the only one overcharged that night just the one with the largest highest cost order! I won’t recommend any of the Jalopenos locations purely for their lack of management and care for taking care of their customers. We were super polite and easy going about this entire situation and yet that same courtesy could not be extended to us. How disappointing. Reading the other reviews, it appears we are not the onlyones who have been subjected to erroneous charges refusal to make it right. that’s just bad business. I certainly don’t want to know what else could be bad business.

Some of the best service I've had. We stopped by on tuesday for dinner.Seemed to have an ok amount of staff which can be rare elsewhere. Downfalls for me are portions that are a little small for the price, and the covid plexiglass barriers at every booth look ugly. Chips and salsa were bomb asf. Chicken enchiladas were kinda sus. Will have to try Jalapeños again and experience some of their different items.
