Bidra med feedbackI ordered the spicy linguine, which was fantastic even though it was actually spaghetti. The seafood, especially the calamari, was delicious. However, at $48, it was a bit pricey considering it didn't come with bread, soup, or salad. Despite this, I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the flavors. It would have been a nice touch to have some sourdough though. The service was good and I had dinner there.
We love going to this restaurant for their wine selection. The bread and appetizers are delicious as well. They only serve East Coast oysters, which are smaller but tastier compared to Gulf Coast oysters.
We absolutely loved our first visit to this restaurant. The experience we had during Spring break week was wonderful. I had a fantastic pasta dish on that occasion. However, our second visit wasn't as impressive. The restaurant was packed and I decided to try the chicken parm, which unfortunately was quite flavorless compared to my wife's previous experience with it. Despite this one inconsistency, we still believe it is a very good restaurant and worth recommending. We plan to return in the future.
Following real estate meetings near Boerne, I didn't want to drive home and deal with cooking. Instead, I quickly searched for nearby restaurants on Yelp. Valeria, which had good reviews and was only 5 minutes away, caught my attention. The restaurant is located in a small strip center off Main St, which I might have overlooked if not for the search. While walking in, I ran into a couple outside who were also trying to decide between Valeria, a Peruvian restaurant, or a Thai restaurant. We exchanged some friendly banter before they settled on the Thai place. Inside, I was warmly greeted by Laura, a friendly and knowledgeable server. With the restaurant being empty, I had my pick of the elegant white linen tables. The music playing was a pleasant mix of Sinatra-style jazz standards that added to the ambiance. Despite dining solo, I thought Valeria would be a perfect spot for a romantic date night. Laura kept the conversation flowing, making my solo dining experience enjoyable. I decided on the flounder dish, which came with buttery rice and grilled veggies, and it was absolutely delicious. It had a homemade quality to it, reminiscent of a fancy recipe you might try at home. Although the prices are on the higher end, my $32 entree of flounder, rice, and veggies was worth it. The only downside was having to walk through the prep area and past the office, with boxes and supplies stored in the hallway, to get to the restroom. However, both the restroom and the entire restaurant were impeccably clean. For dessert, I ventured to the adjacent ice cream shop and was pleasantly surprised once again. Valeria is truly a hidden gem, and I'm glad I made the decision to dine there.
The food is really good. Everything is made in house including the tartar sauce--the best I've ever had! Their bread is also exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'm saddened they are no longer open for lunch....
