El Rancho - Bochum

I was in Bochum for business and wanted some lunch. I thought nothing could go wrong in a steakhouse, but little did I know. The soup of the day had probably started its life as powder in a bag, the salad was drowned in some unidentifiable pink dressing and the baked potato was burried under a heap of sour cream. The rib-eye stake was very juicy as the piece was extremely fat and I must say it was not bad (i.e. the two points in my evaluation). But even that was destroyed by being served on a sizzling hot cast-iron plate which turns your rear into well done and then to shoe sole in no time, while your suit smells like you were at the barbecue all day. Spending 30 euros on bad food then really makes you angry.

Very nice old place in Bochum,nice steaks service.Expect to spend 30 more euros for eating,but you will be not dissapointed.Food is great good relaxing enviroment.

Never eat a better steak with excellent service

Very delicious meat, which was quickly prepared and served. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating.

I had a perfect T-Bone. Great taste. Unfortunately, the store now has to close for 4 weeks, although there is no risk. Distance and everywhere disinfectant. Too bad.
