Twigs - BLOWING ROCK

Usually have the absolute best service ever. Brought my father here for his 78 birthday. Showed up at 9:00 and they close at 930. Live band was playing bar tenders were happy. Bar tender said we had 30 minutes to order. Sat down a bar and it was obvious wait staff and kitchen was ready to go. We apologized up and down and said we would order quick. Wait staff took appetizer orders and we said we needed 5 minutes to pick out our mains. 2 minutes later kitchen manager came back rude as hell and said kitchen is closing NOW!!!! Order now or we are closed. Everyone was so rude. I went to school with the owner and I know this isn’t how he runs his business. It totally ruined our dinner. The nasty looks we got from the wait and kitchen staff was totally uncalled for. Food is amazing but the service is a abysmal.

The food was great especially the grilled chicken sauce but the service was not. We were 30minutes late because of Boone traffic after the homecoming game and eventhough we called and left a message that we would be late, they did not let us sit in the main dining area there were many seats available). We specifically chose Twigs for the atmosphere .I would have definitely understood if there were no seats available but why treat your customers like that when you have the solution in the next room?! Especially after having a long day of hiking, we really didnt want to sit at the bar dining area where they put us with the loud music when we are ordering from the same main dining area menu and paying the same price but getting a much different experience. What shocked me the most is them saying, Next time ,book weeks in advance so you get to sit there , eventhough I had made a reservation... I dined at Twigs on July 27, which has become a favorite when visiting the Baton Rouge area. My husband and I sat at the bar in the lounge since all tables were full, and we had a fantastic time. I'm glad we didn't miss out by sitting at a separate table. Our bartender, Brian, was excellent - very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, so I want to thank the chef and kitchen staff. We enjoyed a steak and fried chicken breast from the bar menu, both of which were fantastic (the chicken breast was juicy, not dry). We also had the opportunity to chat with the couples next to us, making the experience even more enjoyable. We haven't tried the dining room yet as we love the lounge too much, but we will definitely be back on our next trip to Baton Rouge.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. The only downside was the fried green tomatoes, but everything else was fantastic. We will definitely be returning in the future.

This was the most amazing meal! The service was just as amazing. Fernando was fantastic! From beginning to end, we adored everything about this restaurant! We enjoyed the pork loin special with risotto and asparagus, as well as the trout with potatoes. We began with the crab cake and fried oysters. We definitely plan on returning! Be sure to make a reservation! You will not be let down!
