Bidra med feedbackSawara Mart is the perfect spot to discover unique and innovative items. They have a wide variety of products, ranging from a little bit of everything to a lot of everything.
First off, I want to mention Sahara Mart on Third Street. I have not been to the one on Second Street, but it is owned by the same people. They offer a wide selection of wines and beers. Just keep in mind that in Indiana, you cannot purchase alcohol on Sundays (keep this in mind when planning your visit!). They also have a variety of local Indiana wines. Their bulk section is quite large, with a wide selection of coffee as well. However, be cautious when shopping in the bulk section as some items may not be as fresh. Look closely at the produce as well, as some items may be fresher than others. The apples are particularly great, as are most fruits at a good price. For vegetables, I recommend checking out Bloomingfoods, although it may be pricier. The olive bar is a personal favorite of mine, and I have always had positive experiences with their olives. Their selection of oils and vinegars is extensive, and I enjoy spending time selecting the perfect ones. The spices at Sahara Mart are fantastic and I make sure to stock up on them here. Some items to skip are sweet products and milk, while items not to miss include their selection of seasonings, bulk coffee, wine, beer, cheese, ethnic foods, and vinegars.
I disagree with the criticism of Sawara Mart being dirty. I have not found any food stores that are truly clean. However, the owners of Sawara Mart take care of their customers well. They replace date products without hesitation and offer a good variety of food items. I prefer not to buy mass items due to open containers, but I have never had any issues with their deli products, unlike Bloomingfoods. The deli at Sawara Mart offers inventive and tasty options, although there are limited milk-free choices. They also have a great selection of gluten-free and casein-free items, as well as a 10% discount on Tuesdays. Sawara Mart carries a wide range of international products and has a large beer and wine department. A second location is coming soon due to their popularity.
International invite with many vegan food scattered in all. they have a large selection of local coffee and bulk food and season (my favorite section). they also sell wine and beer.
Sawara mart is the place to find unique and novel objects. they carry a little (and sometimes a lot of everything.
