Wiesenhof Makro - Bloemfontein

We always make a stop at Wiesenhof for a quick lunch whenever we shop at Makro. The caramel bar hot chocolate is fantastic, and their milkshakes are amazing. We also really enjoy their tramezzini. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming.

I was really disappointed with Wiesenhof. Their quality has dropped significantly. Today, we couldn’t even order a cappuccino or rooibos tea because their coffee machine was broken, and they didn’t have a kettle in the kitchen to prepare the tea! Their prices have also increased drastically. It was R20 for a serving of subpar chips and R28 for a disappointing slice of French toast that hardly had any egg mixture on it. I won't be returning to Wiesenhof Makro.

The staff is very friendly, the service is top-notch, and the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place!

The food tastes like the handiwork of a chef who is still passionate about what he does and works with a loving family. Even some nice originality in some of the menu item ideas. The coffee is some of the best I've tested in Bloem (well balanced, fresh, depth of flavours). The service is of a sufficient standard and very friendly. The environment is relaxed and quiet. All this at a very reasonable price. Well done!

Consistently good coffee, management and waiters courteous and friendly, typical food for a place like this.. Well prepared and presented.
