Bidra med feedbackWe were looking for solid Tex sex and found at El Charro. It started with salsa, as it should always be. It had a good taste, but we like a little more warmth. Just ask. You have a red and a green salsa. Both are good, but the red has stronger warmth. I had beef enchiladas for my meal and they were delicious. My wife had the Chili Rellenos and she loved it and she is picky about her Rellenos. The service was also a hit. We will definitely come back!
Excellent!! Breakfast tacos before 11am is fantastic deal!
Overall, we Googled places to eat after a long day of activities while on the way home. We were able to eat at this place, Haciendo El Charro, and we were able to eat outside on the back patio. Chips and salsa were complimentary. My daughter ordered the Mexican Coke in the bottle. Served cold. My wife ordered coffee and it was made fresh for her. Our son and I had water, and it tasted fine. Green and Red salsa came out with the food and the green salsa was good and not too hot or overpowering. Our daughter ordered the bean and cheese tacos, cheese was.plentiful, but still cold and not melted very much. Our son had the barbacoa, and they were not all meat as we requested. Out of the 2 tacos he ordered, he made 1 complete taco of fat so they did replace it with a taco of Carne Asada, no charge. My wife had the carne asada with cheese, bell peppers, and onions, I 'll add the correct name later. She enjoyed it and it was good. I had the burrito loc, steak, chicken, and shrimp, all inside the burrito. I substituted the cheese sauce for the guisada gravy and melted cheese. It had good flavor and was stuffed accordingly. Overall, a B+ for service, food, quantity, and value in the small town of Blanco.
Wonderful place for breakfast and dinner! Big coffee, Queso, chips and salsa! The TORTAS are the best! Good place to eat after a long camping day!
After our previous lunch destination was a bust, we stumbled across this place. It is a small little hole in the wall restaurant. We were immediately seated. The salsa they brought to the table with chips had a strong flavor of oregano. I ordered a Gordita. The masa shell was crispy and not too large or small. I asked for Asada meat, which had a hint of flavor. I would have liked a little more seasoning int he meat. The beans were excellent as was the rice. They did bring green and red salsas in squirt bottles when they brought us our food. Those salsas were much better than the red sauce they originally brought us. I was impressed that this place did use actual cheddar on their tacos. My pet peeve is when restaurants will only use American cheese and call it authentic . The service was quick and efficient. The food was fantastic and was a great price. Even though we stumbled across this place on accident, it was a great stop.
