Gillie's - Blacksburg

Great place to eat breakfast with family and friends! We've eaten here a number of times when visiting Blacksburg and have enjoyed it every time. The mix of flavors and options both taste great and present well too. Note that the menu does not contain meat, but that's never bothered us even though we're regular breakfast meat eaters. The atmosphere is very relaxed, always busy a little loud if that matters to you. Overall, a great spot to eat and enjoy time together.

I absolutely love this place! The food is hearty and healthy! It has a vintage and jazzy atmosphere that's welcoming and comforting! Delicious food, good portions, but the customer service can be lagging at times. Gillies should be shared across America! If the customer service improves with obvious top notch food, this place will surely be a 5 star restaurant!

Banana French toast and Spanish fritadas are great.

I initially wanted to give this place 1 star, but how they handled it after changed my mind. My fiancé and I dined here for the first time. I was visiting, I will spare you the details but long story short; I voiced my concern issue we had and the guy at the register in a green shirt working Saturday 4/28/24 handled it SO professionally I was highly impressed very glad I stayed and enjoyed the meal. I didn’t get his name, as he didn’t have a name tag but he apologized i decided to stay. He’s great! Deserves a promotion because every1 else in there didn’t handle it as well and he wasn’t even the one who messed up or was aware of it. But he went into solution mode. The meal is affordable and I’d say food is good for the price. It’s a college town so I know it was also a busy day for brunch. I respected his work ethic his great customer service, turning a not so great first impression into a pleased customer willing to come back.
