Bidra med feedbackPaid for a Pint of fruit cider and draught cokes, cheapest bottle of Prosecco they had left was and waited half an hour for a portion of chips that were no better than McDonalds.
My spouse and I dined at The Pub Grill, located at the Village Hotel. It wasn't our top choice, but we decided to eat there for two reasons. Firstly, the hotel is in a quiet area quite far from the center of Blackpool, so going elsewhere would have required driving. Secondly, we had a voucher for discounted food as part of our booking deal. The bar was fairly busy when we arrived on a Sunday. The menu stood out for its limited options and high prices for typical pub fare. The majority of the offerings were burgers, which explained the restaurant's new name. For my wife's birthday, she ordered steak and chips with peppercorn sauce, while I opted for a Peri Peri chicken fillet burger. The meals used up most of our voucher, but would have been cheaper at a Wetherspoons. Our food arrived promptly, and we both enjoyed our dishes. Although the use of oven chips and frozen onion rings was expected, we had hoped for more unique options given the prices. We ended our meal with cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding, which were likely frozen but still tasty. Thanks to the voucher, our bill came to around £10 for two mains and two desserts. Overall, our experience was decent due to the tasty food and excellent staff, but we likely wouldn't return unless we had another voucher or prices were reduced.
I arrived early to the hotel and with a newborn. Whilst the husband was at work i decided to make the most of a change of scenery at the hotel and its surroundings. Im glad i started my day with a Victory buffet breakfast which...was lovely and had a nice selection of hot and cold items. The staff were really attentive and friendly including helping me with some vegetarian options such as the sausages. They found me a place where i could breastfeed quietly and with ample space for my buggy. My little one was quite vocal too and the staff didn’t mind at all instead it led to some pleasant conversation to keep us going. A nice, spacious and relaxing environment in the restaurant with all the sports channels which is a plus for sports lovers. Thank you to the restaurant staff for making my little one and I feel so comfortable! You went out of your way to make sure we were ok and accommodated our needs.
Staff too busy on their phones to attend to customers. I asked for fish and chips and was gruffly informed"we got no fish settled for steak and chips that would have cost POUNDS! I had a voucher for FROM the health club. This...travesty of a meal consisted of a tough old piece of steak NOT medium rare as requested, cold microwaved chips, and cherry tomatoes. extra to have a little sauce! I asked for some course ground mustard a plastic bottle of yellow stuff was plonked on my table minutes after the food arrived. This is taking the mickey as other friends have had similar experiences of this slapdash place.Frankly an absolute disgrace, avoid at all costs.
We were really looking forward to a Sunday afternoon meal with the family now the pubs have opened up again. I ordered the mussels which unfortunately were sold out so I ordered a salmon superfood salad . The salad was sold out as-well so I...ended up with a dried up piece of salmon with chips, broccoli and asparagus. an odd combination and not worth The staff who were all lovely) were rushed off their feet very understaffed and lots of people were complaining about having to wait. Luckily we had of vouchers but as Deveres are really expensive we still paid over for very average food and drink each hopefully things will pick up and they will start to order enough food for their customers.
